Blue Friday Publishing Deal
Combining dark humour with a vision of the future that is almost an inverse of the classic dystopian nightmare of 1984, Mike’s latest novel follows in the tradition of great Speculative Fiction satirists such as Jonathan Swift.

Why then do we struggle when a novel works in the same way, when the writer uses words to paint images directly into a reader’s head to tell a story

Middlebrow Review
"This book exists on several different levels, including one that might be familiar to regular Dr. Who viewers – although it’s never quite clear whether these levels are ‘real’ or only exist in Isaac’s head. Isaac tries to come to terms with these losses, and starts to lose his mind a little bit. His subconscious tries to step in to protect him from his grief, with varying success. I don’t want to give too much away, but suffice to say you need a good head for plot twists if you’re going to keep track of everything that happens in this novel."
